How often do you pray and truly believe that God can perform a miracle in your life or in the life of someone you love and are praying for? Maybe you are praying and you are waiting to see something happen that has not happened. What if God is waiting on you?

I prayed for many years for God to move in my marriage and in my husband’s life, but didn’t feel like my prayers were reaching beyond the ceiling? Ever been there? One day as I was praying I heard God say He would move when I moved the stone out of the way. Wait what? What stone? God said there are obstacles in the way of the miracle that you are asking for and one of them is you don’t believe that I can or will move in your husband’s life. I sat there thinking, I know You can God, but what happens if he changes? That will change everything and anyone that knows me knows I do not like change!
God said do you want your miracle? Yes, I do! Then remove the obstacle–roll the stone out of my way. You see in John 11:38-44, Jesus could have simply performed a miracle and have raised Lazarus from the dead, brought him out of the tomb completely ready to walk back into life. Instead he told those standing around to remove the stone–to take away the obstacle. I had to remove the obstacle of my fear and doubt before my husband could set free and truly step into what Christ has for him. That was the start.
Then my husband had to answer the call of God to come out of the tomb he was living in of sin, fear, doubt, bondage that only God could raise him to new life from. He answered that call and came out of that tomb, just like Lazarus heard Jesus call him , four days dead, “Lazarus, come out!” and he waddled out of the tomb still wrapped in the crave clothes. (I see a mummy man here!)
As he came out and stood before Jesus, Jesus didn’t say now go and live life for My glory, no, He told those around Lazarus to take those grave clothes off of him and set him free. Again Jesus could have done this, but He was giving those around Lazarus the chance to be a part of the miracle. To help peel back those layers and be set free. Sometimes God calls us to peel back the layers with someone that has come out of tomb of sin and death and been born again into new life in Him so they can be set free and we get to be a part of the miracle. My husband had to peel back the layers, we all do as walk into our new life in Christ.
Go be a part of someone’s miracle today!
