Is that even a real thing? Can we truly move mountains? According to God’s Word, the answer is a resounding yes! However, I believe He isn’t referring to literal mountains but rather to the obstacles that hinder our pursuit of Him.
Let’s clarify what moving mountains means. It doesn’t imply that you can live recklessly and then ask God to remove the consequences of your actions. Instead, it speaks to overcoming the barriers that impede our relationship with God and fulfilling our calling.

A Mustard Seed: Let’s Put That in Perspective

Consider the mustard seed—a tiny grain, yet one that symbolizes immense potential. God tells us that this minuscule amount of faith is all we need to overcome substantial obstacles. This concept is profound: when our faith combines with God’s power, we possess the ability to move mountains.
But what are these mountains? They are the challenges standing in the way of our connection with God, the things that prevent us from becoming who He has called us to be. Every promise in God’s Word represents a potential blessing, and if something is obstructing that promise, we have the authority to remove those barriers.

A Personal Testimony
During my pregnancy with my older daughter, I faced numerous mountains. I was informed that she wouldn’t survive and that it would be best to abort early. However, I had received God’s promise of this child when I was just sixteen. My faith in that promise was unwavering.
A month later, the doctors diagnosed me with cancer and recommended an abortion as part of the treatment plan. Once again, I clung to the promise of my child.
Today, that daughter is an incredible wife and mother, a warrior for God impacting the lives of young moms in her community. The best part? She has never faced a severe health issue that God hasn’t healed. And after her birth, I experienced a miraculous healing from cancer—without any medical intervention!

This experience taught me that faith activates God’s power in our circumstances and that, through Him, mountains can indeed be moved.

With unwavering faith, remember that God’s promises are not just words; they are a lifeline. Trust in Him, and you too can overcome the obstacles in your life.
