See Revival Day Two: Ready for Revival

Revival is not merely a scheduled event on our calendars; we cannot dictate when it occurs as if we can place God on our timetable. It is far more profound than that. Revival is not just about awakening; it’s when our hearts awaken to who God is and who we are in Him through Christ. The very essence of the word “revival”—to bring back to life—reminds us that it signifies a resurrection of sorts for what is dead or dying.

Long before historical movements like the Azusa Street Revival, the Great Awakenings, or even the Brownsville Revival, there was a significant vision in a valley. The Bible recounts prophets being called up to lofty heights in their visions, but that’s not the case with Ezekiel. Instead, he was called down to a valley filled with dry bones—a powerful image that speaks volumes about how God operates in our lives.

Sometimes, the low places we find ourselves in are ordained by God to produce great purpose. You may feel surrounded by darkness, but often, it’s in those very moments that you are positioned to bring forth great light and life to others in similar valleys. God leads Ezekiel around this valley of very dry, old bones—allowing him to see the death and destruction that surrounded him.

Before we can step into revival, we must first recognize what needs to be revived in our lives. This requires a real and honest inventory of ourselves and our environments. Does who I am in private align with who I am in public? How are my relationships? How are my children growing? Does my work life reflect God’s values? Where do I need revival? What in my life feels dead or is on the verge of dying?

Allow the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to the truth today. Jesus is in it and above it all. Once we acknowledge the value of the valley and accept our current position, we can hear Yahweh’s question: “Can these bones live?” (Ezekiel 37:3).

God is not seeking our abilities; He desires our faith in His abilities. No matter what you are facing, remember, Jesus is the resurrection and the life (John 11:25). Do you believe He is your resurrection and life? God wants to speak to those dry bones, and He desires to use us in that process.

Hear the word of the Lord! He declares that you will live again. Everything in your life that has experienced death outside of God’s will will come back to life. While you may see dry bones, God sees an army rising up—a powerful transformation waiting to happen!
Don’t hesitate to speak what God tells you. Declare it with boldness! You will hear the rattling of dry bones coming together, and you will feel the wind of the Spirit as life is breathed back into your situation.

Let revival begin today with new life in you and me. It’s time to embrace this powerful truth and allow God to work in the valleys of our lives! Let’s rise together, ready for revival!
