See Revival Day Seven: Majestic and Mindful

Have you ever taken a moment to ponder the majesty of God? The incredible craftsmanship displayed in the universe—the sun, the moon, the stars—exists as a testament to His genius. All of this is His handiwork, a grand masterpiece designed by the Creator of the cosmos. As Psalm 8:1 beautifully proclaims, “Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” His majesty is so profound that even the heavens cannot contain it.

Yet, in the midst of His greatness, God remains profoundly mindful of us. Psalm 8:2 reminds us that through the praises of infants, He silences His enemies. Next time you hear a baby cry, remember that this seemingly simple sound is used by God to defeat His enemies. The God of heaven has bound His strength to the mouth of babes, perfecting their praise to fulfill His purposes.

David asks in verse four, “What is mankind that you are mindful of them?” It’s a profound question that deserves reflection. How can God be both majestic and mindful? The answer lies in verse five, where we learn that God made humanity a little lower than the angels, or as some translations suggest, a little lower than God Himself. This illustrates the immense value that God places upon each of us.

Verses five and six tell us that we are crowned with glory and honor, empowered to rule over the works of His hands. What an incredible privilege and responsibility! It’s time for us to adjust our crowns and step boldly into the authority bestowed upon us by our Creator. Everything God created is under our jurisdiction; we are called to thrive and improve the world around us.

Do you see yourself as God sees you? Do you understand your worth, above all of His creations? God has given you dominion and authority to fulfill your God-ordained purpose. Today, I want you to remember that God is thinking about you. You are on His heart and mind. He is establishing your strength, perfecting your praise, and empowering you to embrace your destiny.

No matter what your past looks like, God has a plan for you. He longs for you to grasp your significance in His grand narrative. Ephesians 2:6 tells us we are seated in heavenly places, a position purchased for us by the blood of Jesus.

Seasoned believers often say, “God sits high and looks low,” but let’s recognize that He goes even further. He sits high, looks low, and raises the lowly to sit in exalted positions with Him. The God of glory desires to glorify you, as expressed in Psalm 8:5.

So, the real question is: Are we mindful of Him? In all His majesty, God remains intimately aware of our lives. Let us cultivate a heart that reflects His majesty by actively seeking to know Him, serve Him, and take up the authority He has given us.
