See Revival Day 10: Revive Us Again

As we find ourselves on Day 10 of Sea Revival, it’s time to earnestly call upon God to revive our hearts and our land. In a time when churches across our southern and eastern regions are closing their doors and church membership is declining, the tangible need for spiritual renewal is ever-present. Amidst this decline, we’ve begun to witness a stirring of spiritual hunger that echoes throughout our communities. But let’s be clear: while we may not experience true poverty as many around the world do, we are grappling with a different kind of spiritual desolation.

Today, believers still face persecution reminiscent of biblical times. The call for political and economic reform as well as social and cultural change is growing louder. We desperately need revival. We need God to move among us, and the good news is that His track record assures us He is able. As Psalm 85:1 proclaims, “You, Lord, showed favor to your land; you restored the fortunes of Jacob.” This passage reminds us of God’s faithfulness; it states that He restores and transforms even in our darkest moments.
Reflecting on the revivals of the past, we have seen the movement of God manifest through signs and wonders. In my own life, I’ve experienced His miraculous touch—such as when my daughter, born deaf, had her ears opened by His power, and my own battle with cancer led to complete healing. Time and again, I have seen God intervene in ways that transcend human understanding.

As we recount our personal testimonies, let us unite in the heartfelt cry echoed in Psalm 85:4: “Restore us again, God our Savior.” Today, we must acknowledge our profound need for a fresh touch from God. This requires honesty with ourselves and each other, as well as a humble request for God’s intervention not only in our hearts but throughout our governance.

Psalm 85:6 beckons us further, asking, “Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?” And while we pray for this revival, we must recognize that God is eager to refresh our spirits. He desires to demonstrate His love and power, even amidst our wandering. Psalm 85:8 reassures us of His promise: “He promises peace to His people.”

However, this revival calls us to commitment. We are urged to turn away from complacency and old habits that lead us astray. Revival is not simply an event; it’s a lifestyle change—the choice to live set apart for God. As we seek the Lord to ignite true revival in our hearts, let us commit to dedicate our lives entirely to His purpose.

Let today be a milestone in our journey of faith—let it be a day that we become sincere vessels for the revival that is needed not only for ourselves but for our land as well. Together, let’s ask God to stir within us—a revival that transforms our hearts and the world around us.
